Welcome to U.S. history!

During the 1820s and 30s the number of transients, travelers and Americans on the move increased dramatically. To cater to such people entrepreneurs provided a new type of hotel in center of town, a hotel which provided food, drinks, comfortable lodging and meeting rooms.

It's the type of hotel which we find nowadays any place any where on this planet.

Yet Blacks and single women were not allowed, the poor couldn't afford it.  There were no classes however, which was news to any noble European visitor accustomed to being treated according to his title and origin. Never mind the Count or Countess title, here in America all what counted was money.

The professional politicians and salesmen alike found rest and privacy in this newly built hotels as well as company and gossip over a drink or two.

Many hotels became the gathering places for the political parties and with this became an important part in the American way of governing a country.
